Always hot and yummy when I stop by and grab me some jerk, brown chicken, or rice n beans. Today I ordered beans n rice, cabbage, and plantains with a chicken patty. All this for $8 If you're looking for Jamaican cuisine don't sleep on Tastees! They have curry, jerk, and assorted beverages and spices you can purchase. As soon as you pull up you can smell the jerk on the smoker. It's also at a very convenient location. I usually go around lunch time and I'm in and out. Delicious

Where do I begin? First of all, let me say that I normally don't eat at restaurants that don't have their health score visible, but this time I broke my own rule. Welp, that's what I get.
When I first walked in, there was a man sitting at the table, whom I thought was a customer, b/c I wasn't greeted so I assumed he was eating as a customer....WRONG. He worked there. He proceeded to get up,(still no greeting), and he got the attention of a lady in the back. She didn't greet, she just looked at me for a minute, then asked "what can I get you". I ordered the jerk chicken, white rice, and mixed vegetables. I swear that chicken tasted like bbq, with just a hint of spice...not jerk! Oh, and I don't know if I remember seeing the man who fixed my food (same man who was sitting at the table when I walked in) wash his hands..I'm still wondering about that. The chicken had an alright taste if I had my mind set on bbq chicken, but I didn't. He did throw in a few plantains, so that's a plus. I was not impressed by this place at all! Probably wouldn't return, nor would I recommend either.
Oh, let me add that the Sorrel, which is some sort of punch, was 4 friggn' dollars!!! Really? I passed on it, which I really wanted some too, b/c it looked really good, but I wasn't about to pay $4! -

The owner and his wife are the most sweet and hard working peeps I've dealt with in awhile!! Food is always hot , fresh and just plain delish!! They really want satisfied customers and that they have. I see alot of the same faces in line when I return. My mom said their oxtails are best she's had! I'm obsessed with their mac and chz and cabbage!! If u want authentic yummy Jamaican food prepared by kind hands then you must give this place a shot!

Every once in a while you find that hole in the wall, off the side of the road, best kept secret type of place that warms your heart and your stomach. I wanted this to be that place but it fell short. When I saw this place I instantly wanted oxtails but they didn't have any. The only thing they had was jerk chicken so I went with that and a couple of beef patties. Chicken was more sweet than jerk and the beef patty wasn't spicy. Tasted like the ones I buy at Sams. Don't get me wrong they're not bad, but I was hoping for something a little more authentic. Service was pretty quick since everything was pre-made and the owner was nice but not sure if I would go here again.
